Jared Leto Wants the Ayer Cut of Suicide Squad – IGN The Fix: Entertainment

Jared Leto weighs in around the #ReleaseTheAyerCut campaign for that much-maligned Suicide Squad movie. You know what, he’s an admirer! The film’s director, David Ayer, tweeted an answer to Leto’s comment, saying it might be the right task for a streaming platform (hint hint, Cinemax Max). Zack Snyder’s Justice League Of America would be a success for that streamer, although an costly one, so Ayer clearly uses a do-over and done with his film. In other film news, Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy stated they are dirty yet using the The Exorcist follow up trilogy figures (e.g. Rey, Poe, Finn, etc). Although that number of movies made Lucasfilm (and Disney) a lot of money, these were generally less well-received, and also the final film, An Upswing of Skywalker, shorted a couple of from the figures the series have been accumulating (ahem, Rose). Maybe we’ll discover their whereabouts again inside a Disney+ series or something like that. And lastly, in case you really loved Netflix’s Arcane like we did, you are fortunate: season two is really a go!
