How would you react should you were not afraid? Justine Bateman’s intriguing, notable and immersive debut film follows Purple Calder (Olivia Munn) as she knows that she can’t disregard the daily barrage of self-criticisms (voiced by Justin Theroux) that clouds her existence. These self-criticisms cause her to create fear-based decisions and hold her away from the type of professional, personal, and romantic existence she knows she would like. Unsure how you can live a existence free of that self-doubt, like her childhood friend Red (Luke Bracey), Purple realizes she’s no choice but to visit the street that’s more terrifying to her compared to fear that holds her back: Doing everything differently.
The show is created by Justine Bateman, Michael D. Johnson, Ray Hummel, and Matt Paul, and executive created by Cassian Elwes, Jay Paul, Matt Lituchy, Take advantage of Rubano, Jonathan Schurgin, and Anders Liljeblad.
Purple comes to select theaters on October 29, expanding theatrically on November 5, and will also be offered at home when needed on November 9, 2021.
